Dr. Terry Donelson is not only an author but also a counselor, and teacher. When she began to learn how to overcome the root causes of her own relational difficulties she began to devote her time helping others who struggle with the same. The most important help she offers is to reconcile people to God through which her rehabilitation strategies are inspired.
The Lord opened the doors wide to equip her for His service. She received her Psychology degree from Winston-Salem State University and Doctorates in both Ministry and Theology from Christian Life School of Theology.
Over the past 25 plus years Dr. Terry has ministered to individuals through counseling/coaching as well as through relational workshops that she developed. Recently she put her life changing message into a Christian, self-help book, “Character Blocks”, with the hope that help would be available to everyone who wanted it.
Her book addresses the building blocks of a person’s foundation which is explained to be one’s character. Everyone depends on a foundation to support their lives. It’s only Godly character, however, that can bear the sufficient strength to qualify for this task. By reading Dr. Terry’s book one will learn how to recognize any inadequate building materials as well as how to develop those which are load-bearing.
“Character Blocks” is available here on this website. Dr. Terry also has several other books in the developmental stages. Titles include “The Domino Effects of Neglect”, “The Love Walk” and “Me and My Big But”.
Dr. Terry’s informative, weekly Relational Rehab blog also offers tools for helping individuals and couples develop healthy relationships.
Dr. Terry begins each day reading the Word, praying and worshiping the Lord in song. When she isn’t working she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, taking long walks, or playing ping pong with her husband.
